The Godfather

Rules for Movie Memory Duel:
1)  Both halves of Brerin must have watched the movie together. 
2)  It must be at least 3 months since having seen the movie. 
3) Each half is given 3 minutes to compose their honest memories of the movies.

Erin

The movie opens up with a wedding where the Godfather is making secret dealings while everyone is outside celebrating. Then a horse head is found in the bed of someone who double crosses the Godfather. People aren’t happy with the deals that are going down so they try to take down the family. The Godfather gets shot and is guarded in a hospital. Some other people get murdered at a restaurant with spaghetti. Murders all around. The Godfather’s son decides to go to the Italian countryside and gets married to some rando girl who he promptly gets murdered when she drives in his car. The quiet life can not be his. So he goes back and then The Godfather is chasing his grandson around with an orange in his mouth and has a heart attack.

Brad

Oh boy, the Godfather, the big one.  I think it begins with the famous scene you come to me on the day of my daughter’s wedding with this guy asking Vito Corleone to help him out. The guy is scared and Vito almost has him killed but then he helps him out.  There is merriment and the wedding goes off without a hitch.  The scenery I remember is beautiful. Enough about the wedding.  There are mob battles going on and the corleones need to stay in control.  Vito and Al Pacino and Sonny and Fredo are a mob family with Robert Duvall as their adopted sideman.  They get threatened by the other mobsters and at one point there is a horsehead in a bed.  Vito ends up in the hospital and they try to kill him there but he escapes narrowly befoer they enter.  They kill Sonny very sadly in some sort of drive by.  Made me mad.  He was cool.  Al Pacino oh yeah Michael Corleone takes over the family business and becomes the new godfather because Vito is ill.
