Lawrence of Arabia

Rules for Movie Memory Duel:
1)  Both halves of Brerin must have watched the movie together. 
2)  It must be at least 3 months since having seen the movie. 
3) Each half is given 3 minutes to compose their honest memories of the movies.

Brad

This is a movie about Lawrence of Arabia played by Peter O’toole.  I have no idea how it begins but at some point there’s a conflict between maybe the English and people of the Arabian desert. Omar Sharif shows up and plays a central role as Lawrence’s connection into the nomadic tribes of the desert.  Throughout the movie his advisers get angry at him and try to call him back, but he says no way.  There are many scenes of people on horseback amidst the wide, expansive scenery.  Oh yeah, actually I think it starts with a flashback where Lawrence dies on his motorcycle and then the story starts.  It ends with Lawrence getting honored by the English.  He likes to wear an all white shawl and cloak.

This movie has a long drawn out scene of the desert in which you eventually see Lawrence of Arabia riding towards the camera on his horse. He’s an English guy among all of these middle easterners who are under English rule. There are a lot of camels. Lawrence looks like he is always wearing eyeliner. He had a buddy at one point but his buddy was killed I think. The English had much better weapons but Lawrence was trying to rally people to rebel? It was a really long movie but I just can’t remember much of what happened. I don’t think there was a love interest…at least a female one. I also think this was based on a true story.
