After our trip to London, we flew via RyanAir to Dublin, Ireland. Erin has quite a bit of Irish in her, so we wanted to explore her roots! We spent five days there, condensing what is normally a two-week trip into a whirlwind tour of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. We rented a car and drove to all of our locations of interest. Check out this post to learn more about renting a car in Ireland.

Our itinerary in Ireland:

Day 1: Fly into Dublin in the early morning, rent a car at the airport, drive to our hotel, and explore Dublin.

Day 2: Drive from Dublin to Limerick with stops at the Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle, and Blarney Castle.

Day 3: Drive from Limerick to the Cliffs of Moher and then across the Republic of Ireland to Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Day 4: Drive from Belfast to Giant’s Causeway with many stops to interesting Game of Thrones film sites on the way back to Dublin.

Day 5: Spend the full day in Dublin.

Day 6: Take an early flight from Dublin to Iceland.
